Third patient got a Neuralink brain implant. The work is part of a booming field-Elon Musk

Elon Musk addressed a campaign town hall in support of Republican presidential nominee and former President Donald Trump in Folsom, Pennsylvania, on Thursday, October 17, 2024. During a live-streamed interview at a Las Vegas event on his social media platform X, Musk announced that a third individual has received an implant from his brain-computer interface company, Neuralink, which is among several organizations working to link the nervous system with machines. Musk stated, “We’ve got three humans with Neuralinks, and all are functioning well.” He noted that since the first brain implant was performed about a year ago, the company has improved the devices by increasing the number of electrodes, enhancing bandwidth, and extending battery life. He also mentioned that Neuralink aims to implant experimental devices in an additional 20 to 30 individuals this year. Nigeria’s Chidimma Adetshina emerges second at Miss Universe 2024

 Nigeria’s Chidimma Adetshina has finished as the first runner-up at the 73rd Miss Universe Competition held in Mexico.


The grand finale, which came up early Sunday morning at the Arena CDMX in Mexico City, offered a stiff showdown between Nigeria and Denmark as the two finalists awaited the announcement of the highly coveted title.The competition, widely regarded as one of the most captivating in recent years, celebrated the talent, intelligence, and elegance of women worldwide.In a post shared on Instagram, the event’s organizers noted the intensity of the moment, saying:


“The final two! Nigeria and Denmark, are two incredible women, one unforgettable moment.”


Miss Denmark, Victoria Kjaer Theilvig, ultimately emerged as Miss Universe 2024, succeeding Sheynnis Palacios of Nicaragua, who held the title in 2023.


It should be noted that Chidinma was forced to withdraw from the Miss South Africa Beauty Pageant because of nationality issue.
