Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has been has been in the custody of the Nigerian Government agency for almost 2 years and counting now but the question is,what is his crime?
Self determination
Sunday Igboho had once led a group of Yoruba sessionists in a failed attempt to determine where they should belong.
Today a group of Hausas are agitating for a Nation of their own claiming, demargenalisation.
Nigeria has been mared with several Military Coup most of which were carried out by half schooled northern who have ruled possibly mis managed the nations vast resources,
human
Solid minerals
And
Oil and Gas
Nigerians has been living at the mercy of an Elite class that has taken the Nation as both a birthright and buffet while ordinary Nigerians wallow in imposed abject poverty.
If the Yoruba sessionist group are walking free why not IPOB? Why not Nnamdi Kanu?
If they got to 10 Dowing Street,
Why Keep Nnamdi Kanu in Prison?
During an interview with the UK-based Star Radio on 15 October, Akintoye, who lives in Benin, said the details of the petition would not be made public.
“We are not waiting for any government of Nigeria; we don’t think that any Nigerian politician will ever have the humanity and commonsense to recognise that Nigeria is already disintegrating,” he said.
Is Nnamdi Kanu's so-called Crime defferent?
Yoruba Council Worldwide president Hassan says people from the region should cast the self-determination struggle aside and support the president to achieve his vision.
“We cannot blame Chief Sunday Igboho and the other people who are clamouring for the Yoruba nation. We are all feeling the pain and crunch of poverty in the land,” he says.
If Sunday Igboho can't be blamed
Then what is Nnamdi Kanu's crime and why must he be in jail?
Or can this be the reason?
For nearly a decade, the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) in Nigeria’s South East have clamoured for the separation of the Igbos, who populate the region, from the country. Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the group, is currently in detention after his extraordinary rendition from Kenya. He is facing treason charges.
If we all are Nigerians and considered to be so why should Nnamdi Kanu be treated in the manner that Sunday Igboho isn't treated. We must build a Nigeria where every citizens tribes and tongues are treated with a sense of fairness and equity.
