Chief George Moghalu, a former All Progressives Congress (APC) national auditor and the most recent managing director of the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), has announced his desire to fight for the Labour Party (LP) in the 2025 Anambra governorship election.
Speaking to media in Nnewi, Moghalu said that, should he be elected, he would only hold office for one term, contending that four years is enough time for any dedicated governor to leave a lasting impression. He stated, “Whatever any governor cannot achieve in four years cannot be done in eight. A leader who asserts that they need eight years to leave an impression is clearly unprepared.
