Third patient got a Neuralink brain implant. The work is part of a booming field-Elon Musk

Elon Musk addressed a campaign town hall in support of Republican presidential nominee and former President Donald Trump in Folsom, Pennsylvania, on Thursday, October 17, 2024. During a live-streamed interview at a Las Vegas event on his social media platform X, Musk announced that a third individual has received an implant from his brain-computer interface company, Neuralink, which is among several organizations working to link the nervous system with machines. Musk stated, “We’ve got three humans with Neuralinks, and all are functioning well.” He noted that since the first brain implant was performed about a year ago, the company has improved the devices by increasing the number of electrodes, enhancing bandwidth, and extending battery life. He also mentioned that Neuralink aims to implant experimental devices in an additional 20 to 30 individuals this year. Demonstrations may have erupted over the delayed announcement for the outcome of the Edo state governorship elections.

 Protest may have erupted over the announcement of the just concluded governorship elections in Edo state.
The voting was through peaceful but several reports have been made against the INEC returning officer being close to one of the aspirants and might influence the outcome of the elections.
Further heightening the suspicions was the delayed announcement of the elections results and the pressure on voters to go home after casting their votes.
Since the last presidential election in Nigeria voters vowed to always make their votes count though this has not been the case since the masses rejected the elections results faulting it's collation and announcement make after midnight.
As we wait to see the outcome of this protest if any corrections would be made to effect credible leaders taking their rightful mandate as desired by the masses who are bent on making sure that Nigeria wakes up and stands out of the grip of very corrupt political dictatorship which has bedeviled the nation since the early 1960's.
